Rope Burn is a group dedicated to creating a safe space for those interested in learning the art of rope restraint, every 2nd Thursday of the month! It's not a workshop-- We want to help people create connections and grow the queer rope community through sharing our knowledge and skills! We want this group to be a fun, sex-positive, relaxed, and informational space, open to all skill levels and sizes.
Why a Men's Rope Jam?
Our goal is to introduce more male-of-center folks tying/bottoming in rope, and grow the queer rope community! It's that simple. In the shibari/kinbaku world, the prevalence of queer/heteroflexible men, especially bottoms, is very low. Rope Burn is one event creating safe spaces for men who tie men to get introduced to rope, play, learn, practice, and share their skills, while also having a great playspace to explore that new friend they just met more intimately! Our hope is that we can be a gateway to more advanced kinbaku for the queer community! Though all are welcome at RBSF, female-centered events are not our focus. The Bay Area offers several groups such as Hitchin' Bitches and Rope Coven for the women's community.
